Mobile Police Monitoring

The Boston Police Department, in preparation for the Democratic National Convention, which promised to be a very security-sensitive event, purchased ten, field deployable, pan tilt zoom, IP cameras from IVC. During the convention, the camera units were placed at different locations in the city where the four-day event took place. Learn More >>

Individuals from the customer company are often located at multiple locations.Prior to installing IVC software and cameras, Exhibit Group’s customers had to visit the production facility or review still photos. Water Treatment & Dam Monitoring

After a large, multi-national power company acquired two hydro generation facilities on dams in upstate New York, it installed IVC video systems to achieve efficiencies in the management of the hydroelectric generating facilities. The dams are about a half-mile apart on the same river. Given the relatively small size of the hydro facilities, 10-50 MW, the company put a priority on reducing operating costs.   Learn More >>

Manufacturing/Assembly Process Monitoring

IVC’s software and cameras are helping a major Nissan Motors monitor and troubleshoot problems that develop in the assembly of their cars. In their North American assembly plant, car bodies are carried on overhead conveyors through the facility. Each car body has an RF tag that transmits its ID number. As the body reaches various locations in the assembly process or storage areas, the ID is received. If there is a missed read, an alarm is triggered in the central control center and the IVC zoom video camera presents a snapshot of the missed read operator’s screen whereupon he can make a visual read and enter the tag manually.  Learn More >>

Ports, Harbors and Marinas

IVC video systems have been in use by the Port Authority of the Cayman Islands for security and monitoring of operations since 2004. The Port Authority is responsible for both freight and passenger ship operations at the Port of Grand Cayman, one of the busiest cruise ship ports in the Caribbean. The first seven cameras were installed only a few weeks before Hurricane Ivan, a category 5 storm that devastated the island. There are two security offices, one inland and one at the port, where the cameras are monitored on an on-going basis. At the port, only the local cameras are monitored, while all operations at the three facilities are monitored from the inland facility.
